Summary and explanation TdT is a 58 kDa protein (2) that catalyses the polymerisation of deoxynucleotides on the 3’ hydroxyl end of a polydeoxynucleotide without template instructions (3, 4). TdT is present in the nuclei of normal T and B lymphocyte precursors and the neoplastic equivalent (5). Positive cells are present in normal thymus, and in few normal bone marrow cells, corresponding to hemapoietic precursors (2). Most cases of ALL are TdT positive, 37 % of AML cases are TdT positive (3). Reagent provided F7139, is a purified monoclonal mouse antibody conjugated with Fluorescein Isothiocyanate Isomer 1 (FITC). The conjugate is provided in liquid form in buffer containing 1% bovine serum albumin (BSA) and 15 mmol/L NaN3, pH 7.2. Each vial contains 50 tests (10 µL of conjugate for up to 106 MOLT-4 cells).
